WHEN I ASKED MY HUBBY LAST NIGHT IF HE WANTED ANOTHER DOG, HE SAID HE THOUGHT HE WOULD WAIT A WHILE. WELL, THE KIDS AND I WENT TO THE POUND (PET ADOPTION AGENCY, AS I LIKE BETTER TO CALL IT), AND LOOKED AT THE DOGS TODAY. (I AM NOT A BIG PET PERSON. I THINK BECAUSE I'VE LOST A COUPLE AND WAS DEVISTATED). ANYWAY, I SAW A PRECIOUS SHEEP DOG- LOOKING DOG. HE HAD A SWEET FACE (IMPORTANT TO ME) AND SEEMED CALM. I TEXT A PIX OF HIM TO HUBBY. IT TOOK HIM A FEW MINUTES TO REPLY. UH OH! HAD I INTRUDED ON HIS GRIEVING PROCESS? BUT, IN A FEW MINUTES HUBBY CALLED AND SAID THE DOG WAS GOOD-LOOKING. HE SAID HE DEFINITELY WANTS TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOG, AND HE WANTS TO VISIT THE "POUND." IF IT WERE JUST ME, I PROBABLY WOULD NOT GET ANOTHER PET, BUT PETS ARE A MUST FOR MY HUBBY, AND THAT'S FINE.

A TVLESS DAY
I HAD DECIDED WE WOULD HAVE AN AT HOME, TVLESS DAY TODAY. IT SEEMS WE HAVE BEEN ON THE GO A LOT LATELY. I FEEL THE NEED FOR A LITTLE CALMNESS AND QUIET PLAY. WELL, THE TVLESS PART HAS WORKED OUT SO FAR (NOT REALLY TO THE CHILDREN'S LIKING), BUT WE DID LEAVE THE HOUSE FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS. MY SISTER NEEDED TO GO THE NEXT COMMUNITY OVER AND PICK UP A SUNHAT SHE'D ORDERED FOR MY NEPHEW. SHE INVITED US, AND WE ACCEPTED. WE VISITED A PARK MY CHILDREN LOVE, AND A PRECIOUS ICECREAM SHOP WHILE THERE. I WILL POST PIX OF THE VISIT ASAP. TVLESS DAYS ARE IMPORTANT!!

ANTIQUE BEDSIDE TABLE FROM DAD

My Dad is wonderful with rebuilding and refinishing furniture. This is Little Sis's new bedside table he gave her for her birthday. (Her 7th was on June 24th). Her bed is also a product of his. It's an adorable antique twinsize bed. We have many pieces from him around our house. We love antiques, and we love for them to come from my Dad. (More 7th Bday pix to come!)

Sam is a 15 year old Border Collie. Hubby and Big Sis and Big Bro had him before they "blended" with us, so they've had him much longer than we have. However, all of us love him. Sam is sick and faces a difficult vet visit tomorrow. Hubby is very upset. Pray for hubby as he takes Sam to the vet tomorrow.

This is my adorable nephew. He is almost 5 months old. This was a day when I was keeping him, and none of the other children were home.

We are home from sunny Destin. It was wonderful. We were blessed with a safe trip down and back, and safety and fun while there. The weather was beautiful, and the ocean was crystal clear all week. Our beach house was terrific, and the private pool was the way to go for us!!

JUST A DAY OF PLAY

Little Bro and Sis are playing around in Little Bro's room. He got both the guitar and tent from Santa this year. They usually play good together. They are14 months apart in age. They love eachother so much. I know they will always be close. I'm so glad God gave them to eachother, and to me.

I am out of sequence with my pix and posts, but I keep remembering events that I want to post. We have had sooo many things happen lately. This happens to be a pix on Little Sis after losing her 4th tooth. She has actually lost one of the top front since this pix. I will post that one when I find it. The prob is that I take sooo many pix of my precious family. No. That's a problem. It's a blessing. I have a wonderful family, and I love them very much.

Little Sister thoroughly enjoyed her dance recital. She knew all the steps, and smiled largely throughout all the dances. She had 3 dances!! She loves performing! She is such a joy and a blessing.

School has officially been out for about a week now, and we are in full summer mode. Can't wait to leave for Destin on Wednesday! All six of us are EXCITED to the fullest. Have I mentioned we rented a house this year with a PRIVATE pool!? We are blessed, and I hope we can have a very restful, calm, bonding, relaxing family vacation.

Oldest bro had 4 teeth pulled today in preparation for his braces. His mother took him, so we haven't seen him, but hubby talked to him and says he feels kindof bad.

We are looking into a private Christian School for Little bro and sis. Their father isn't completely on board with it, so say a little prayer for us that he will see that we are trying to put them in the best possible environment.

Have I mentioned I am LOVING summer! I love being home with the kids, and actually having time to cook, clean and do laundry. I am thankful to be a teacher.
