the flu
Well, here we are. It's Friday. We are better, but none of us 100%. I have talked to our family nurse and the ped nurse this morning. Both assure me that these lingering symptoms are normal, and might last a few more days. PLEASE GO AWAY, FLU! I try to remind myself that it could have been worse. It seems to be contained to the three of us, and we have been eating, sleeping and functioning (at home that is). I know some people are bedridden with this and become dehydrated etc. Thankfully I was watching for it, and we caught it ASAP. Still, it's not fun, and we want it to go away.

The FLU
Little Sis got sick Sunday night. She and I went to Urgent Care. She tested positive for Flu. I tested positive for Mono and Strep Throat. Well, I'm sorry, but I do not have time to be sick. So, I will take my meds and keep trucking. Little Sis and I stayed home from school on Monday knowing that Little Bro would probably start having symptoms soon. Sure enough! Monday after school he starts with a lowgrade fever and a very ill disposition. We are all on tamiflu needles to say. Hubby has not shown any signs yes....unless he's keeping it secret. The worst part of it for the kids is the cough and breathing issues. For some reason, illness has always manifest itself in my children's lungs. I should be used to it after 7 years, but it still scares me. We are doing breathing treatments and inhalers round the clock too. If you recall, little bro spent 5 days in the hospital a month and a half ago with asthma issues. I'm praying we don't find ourselves there with this icky flu.
